The Diagnostic Radiology Section is located at the B-1 floor and its one of the main important sections at Rayak hospital. It is equipped with the best modern and advanced diagnostic radiology machines of all kinds. This section is run by a group of qualified technicians who are supervised by a Radiologist, Dr. Imad Massoud , who is a specialist in Diagnostic , Interventional , and IRM Radiology . Dr. Massoud is the head of the Department.
Equipment :
Cardiologic Somatom Sensation 64 CT Scanner:
It is considered one of the most internationally advanced CT machines by which we can take images of the heart and body veins and arteries, and we can reconstruct the picture in three dimensions. We can also take images for the whole body as well as conduct a colonoscopy or a Broncoscopy within few seconds.
IRM 105 Tesla machine:
We can image the whole body by the IRM Machine in a short time. Rayak hospital is considered as a reference in this field due to the great number of patients.
Echography:
The hospital owns one of the best Echography machines, which can give three dimensions images especially for Embryos
or any internal body organ.
Ordinary X -RAY Machine , Panoramic , Mammography, and Osteo-densitometry :
which are all Operated by specialized technicians.
The hospital Administration annually makes sure that the doctors of the Diagnostic Radiology Section attend all concerning lectures, seminars, and conferences, locally and internationally. The doctors are also subject to international training sessions on new machinery especially in Germany, France, or the USA.
The section is also subject to a periodic and continuous monitoring by the Atomic Energy Agency to control the level of Radiation for the employees in order to protect their personal safety. Also to make sure that no radiation leakage is taking place so that the environment is well protected.
